D. Pharmacy
Duration : 2 Years
Diploma in Pharmacy offered by R.B. Gautam College of Pharmacy, Comprises of Part-I and Part-II. The curriculam and syllabi for the course is prescribed by Board of Technical Education, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. There shall be an examination in the first year on the subjects of Part-I and an examination in the second year comprising the Part-II subjects.

Eligibility
The Candidate seeking admission in Diploma in Pharmacy in must have passed the 10+2 (12th standard) examination securing not less than 50% marks with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with anyone of the following subjects: 1. Mathematics 2. Biology 3. Biotechnology 4. Computer Science Entrance Exam Joint Entrance Examination conducted by Board of Technical Education, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.

Career Opportunities
Unlike other pharmacy-related courses, which have a greater focus on drug manufacturing, Pharma diploma provides a broad-based training - so students are more versatile. This will open doors to jobs in hospital or retail pharmacies, as well as the pharmaceutical industry. Those having Diploma qualification in Pharmacy can work as a Pharmacist in Govt. /Semi Govt. / Private Hospitals. They can also start their own Medical Store. Diploma in Pharmacy holders can work as a Medical Representative have a broad range of employment opportunities open to them. The job avenues for a diploma pharmacist are open in public and private sector. They are mostly absorbed by government hospitals and health care departments and sale promotion work in Pharmaceutical Companies. Desirous students on completion of D.Pharm, can opt B.Pharm Course.
B. Pharmacy
Duration : 4 Years
The course of Bachelor of Pharmacy will extend over a period of four academic years. The curriculam and syllabi for the course is prescribed by Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Each year is divided into two semesters of six months.

The course of study of B. Pharm Ist, IInd, IIIrd, IVth, Vth, VIth, VIIth, and VIIIth semester will include the respective theory and practical subjects.

Eligibility
Securing not less than 50% marks with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with anyone of the following subjects: 1. Mathematics 2. Biology 3. Biotechnology 4. Computer Science Entrance Exam- State Entrance Examination conducted by Dr.A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow.

Career Opportunities
Clinical research: Recently, Clinical research has also open its door for B.Pharm graduates as medical underwriter, CRO, data validation associate, clinical research associate etc.

Marketing : There is a big scope in sales dept of pharmaceutical companies making tools and machines for research, these companies hire graduates for their marketing and sales as MR, project managers etc. Pharmaceutical MBA is most heyday in this field.

Production : Large rate of vacancies are appearing in pharma industries for production. All the big firms invite suitable skill pharma individual in manufacturing units. Manufacture of pharmaceuticals involve all the drugs in different dosage forms and cosmetics.

Quality control : Some government jobs like government analysis is associated with it. They have to develop, apply, revise, and maintain quality standards for processing materials into partially finished or finished products. Helps in designing and implementing methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and prepares documentation for inspection testing procedures.

Scientists : Pharma graduates can absorb as scientist in R&D and F&D. It is field of innovation where talented people in pharmacy working as scientist. Numerous researches are going on in India though compare to less than US and other British industries.

Lecturer : Usually, graduates in pharmacy can also make their career in academics. In some institutions they are eligible to work as lecturer for diploma students.
